Orion Song & Patrick HizonMy name is Julian Natividad, and I am a first year TFM Production Pre-Major. I’m originally from the Bronx, New York, but I moved to San Diego in 2008 and have stayed ever since. I grew up with an unusually large imagination which has stuck around until this day- maybe that’s a perk of being an only child. I really enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures, because I think adventures were something I always wanted to have. Adventures always create great stories, and I always loved being a storyteller, no matter which medium I use- dance, film, or writing, all of which I found a love for in high school. Spoken word in particular has been impactful in my life because it has affecting my writing and the way I tell stories. Not only do I hope to make people feel something, if anything at all, but to also transport them away somewhere and to hopefully leave them inspired or changed on the return home.
Victoria NguyenMy name is Brandon Fong. I am from a small town called Hercules, CA. I was exposed to music when I was 6 years old. My mother was in a Tahitian Dancing group called The Island Way. I would sit in the sideline and hear the polynesian music. I soon joined the group when I was 11 years old and learned how to play the drums and the ukulele. My curiosity leveraged to the guitar and the piano, those of which I have learned how to play from translating ukulele chords. Since then my main instrument has become the guitar. I started seriously singing after I joined musical theater in high school. Since then performing on stage has been a passion for me.
Performing is a stress reliever for me. It allows me to express my personality on stage. As a solo artist it is difficult to grab attention with just vocals and guitar. With background of percussion, I adjusted the way I play the guitar to the popular “pluck and chuck” style that John Mayer and Gabe Bondoc utilizes in their music. I want to show the audience that music can find its roots in pure vocals and acoustics. |
Based out of Mira Mesa, Orion Song and Patrick Hizon are an R&B duo born and raised here in San Diego, CA. The two multi-instrumentalists create a variety of sounds drawing inspiration from artists such as Robert Glasper, Crush, and H.E.R. They both met in high school and found a common interest in creating music, singing 90’s R&B, and song-writing. After years of friendship and jam-sessions, the two musicians decided that they wanted to take their music more seriously and push themselves beyond their boundaries. Orion is pursuing a music career in performance and is currently working on an EP and a few other projects. Patrick is currently studying biology and music theory at CSU San Marcos while also taking clients for music recordings, production, lessons, and playing piano at churches. If you want to hear more from them, you can follow them on social media via Instagram and Youtube and listen to their music on all streaming platforms Julian NavitidadHi everyone! My name is Victoria (Tori) Nguyen and I'm currently a second-year Criminal Justice major and Marketing minor at SDSU. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, but I moved down to San Diego last year for school. I have an unhealthy and (almost) troubling obsession/addiction for boba. I would also like to quickly and subtly state that my favorite boba is from OO Tea (Jasmine Green Milk Tea; add boba, regular sweetness, no ice).
I also have an immense love for music and for playing instruments, which I believe stems from growing up in a classic Asian household, in which Tiger Balm and playing an instrument are most highly valued. With that being said, I hope to be able to share and express this love for music during my FTS performance, during which I will be singing, playing the guitar, and channeling my inner Paris By Night.
