FTS 2018’s theme, “Never Walk Alone" aims to illustrate the passion, strength, and unity of the AAPI community in the face of adversity. As we all face our own individual struggles, we feel a sense of hope and empowerment when we are supported and encouraged by those who face the same struggles as we do--highlighting the importance of standing together which is the essence of a cohesive community. In standing together, the AAPI identities and aspirations of our generation cannot be contained underneath the oppression of labels and stereotypes. So it is with high hopes that our theme will remind those that no matter how far the destination may seem, it is never too far so long as you never walk alone.
